Description
STEP1:Cutting and Melting:
Start by cutting the melt and pour soap base into small, uniform cubes for faster melting.
Place the cubes into a microwave-safe container or a double boiler. Heat slowly in low heat, stirring occasionally, until completely melted. Be careful not to overheat the soap base to avoid scorching.
STEP 2 :Adding Ingredients (Optional):
Once melted, you can customize your soap base by adding various ingredients:
*Additives:
– Incorporate exfoliants (like oats or seeds, scrub particles like crushed coffee, green beads ,walnut scrub etc.
-herbal extracts or juice :
you can add 5%of herbal juices/ kashyas to the melted soap base (50gm to 1 kg base ) you must add 1% perservatives to prevent high risk of fungal growth.
Butters
you can add butters like shea butter ,mango butter ,almond butter etc. ((max.1%ie,for 1 kg melted soap base ,10gm butter )butter should be separately melt and add to the melted soap base
-Essential oils :
you can also add 0.3%of essential oils(3 gm for 1 kg soap base ) to the melted soap base
-career oils :
you can add maximum of 1 % career oils like virgin coconut oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil ,apricot oil to the soap base(10gm per kg soap base ),while adding career oils
to the soap base , don’t hesitate to add 2% additional surfactants like C.A.P.B. for appropriate foaming.
-Fragrance oils
:maximum 2% (20gm per kg soap base )of any fragrance oils can be added to the soap base
-Anti oxidants :
you can add 0.2 %of vitamin E to your bathing bar to help to prevent oxidative damages of the skin
-colours:
you can add some drops of cosmetic grade colours to enhance the beautiful appearance of the bathing bar.
STEP 3:Mixing and Pouring:
Stir the melted soap base gently to ensure any added ingredients are evenly distributed.
Carefully pour the mixture into soap molds. Silicone molds are ideal for their flexibility and ease of releasing the finished soaps.
Setting and Unmolding:
Allow the poured soap to cool and harden at room temperature. This typically takes a few hours, depending on the size and depth of your molds.
Once fully cooled and solidified, gently pop the soaps out of the molds.
STEP 4:Storage and Usage:
keep your finished soaps wrapped with cling film &place it in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight.
